We had a good time at Drew’s birthday party! Uncle Kenny grilled for us- I even tried Boudin! It wasnt all that bad! Grandma Kathy baked a cake for Drew too! We opened presents but Drew wasnt really impressed. Then we had cake- he put his hands in the cake and started crying. He didnt really eat any either. He reached out for me and got cake in my hair and all over my arms and shirt! So in the bathtub he went and we got him cleaned up and put his jammies on! Uncle Kenny started playing the guitar and Drew loved that! Then he played with some balloons and then went in and played with some of his toys! Ive posted a few pictures from tonight!

Well, we have been having a good time so far in Baton Rouge. Last night we went and saw the LSU women’s basketball team just DESTROY Baylor! It was really fun! And Drew had fun with Grandma Kathy back at the house!

Today, we are going to have a birthday party for Drew since the BR folks arent coming to the party this Saturday. It just didnt make sense for them to drive all the way to Austin 2 days after we leave BR. So, we will take lots of pictures and post them for you!

On Sunday, we went to the cemetary to see Colin’s headstone. It was beautiful. The people at B-Remembered Monuments in Austin did an excellent job and its just perfect! Im going to post some pictures of it so you guys can see!

Drew is feeling better although he does still have some congestion so Im going to take him to the doctor today since we are going out of town on Sunday and I don’t want to take the chance of him getting sick while we are in Baton Rouge.

We are going to stay with Kenny and Shawn while we are in Baton Rouge and we are going to go to two LSU basketball games! We are also going to celebrate Drew’s 1st birthday a little early with them since they can’t come to Austin for the party.

Other than that not much else going on. I just completed a new layout of Drew- will load it here but you can also view it my checking out the link to the right.

Well, we all got the cold/allergy thing that Drew had and were all under the weather this weekend. Drew is actually sounding better tonight but Im going to see how he is in the morning before deciding on taking him to the doctor. Peter and I are feeling better but we all stayed in this weekend.

In our efforts to try and keep Drew entertained, Peter let him look at the fish tank and he just loved it! In the second picture that I posted, you can see his 2 bottom teeth! I wasnt even trying to get a picture of that- I was just lucky since he is not too keen on letting you see them anyways. Im working on Drew’s 11 month layout but am going to wait until the month is over since he keeps doing new things! Its like once he got rolling over from back to tummy down, all of the other stuff is falling into place. He actually pulled himself up all the way to standing by using Peter’s legs before he fell down!

Bathtime!!! 

I just posted 4 new pictures for your viewing pleasure! The first two were from this morning when Drew was playing in his jumperoo and having a blast! The second two were from his bath tonight!

Granbenni came over today to get her Drew fix! This was the first time that she saw his 2 teeth, saw him crawling, turning over, and now pulling up on things! And he wouldn’t sit still to save his life. I’m going to have my hands full when he is really able to get around the house- right now he can crawl but it takes him some time to get to where he wants to go. He doesnt have the arm and leg coordination down yet. And I fear when he starts walking!

Having a blast! 

Tonight after our WW meeting, we went to eat mexican food as we do EVERY Thursday! We save up our points to be able to go eat some YUMMY food. Anyways, our waiter knew our EXACT order even down to the extra mints that I ask for when they bring us the check. How sad is that????

But Drew got his first taste of Mexican food tonight! He started out making mush out of a flour tortilla. That kept him entertained for a while. Then when they brought the food out, I gave him some refried beans which he was ok with. Then some rice- he made a wierd face at that but didnt seem to dislike it. Then I gave him some enchilada sauce which he loved! He is definitely his mother’s son!

Drew is feeling better tonight. He was ok today- still stuffy but in a really good mood! I put him in his jumperoo and he just went to town bouncing in it! His pediatrician told me we could give him some Triaminic so I gave that to him with his bottle and by the time I put him down in his crib he didnt sound congested like he was last night. He is not running a fever and is not cranky so the doctor said that is good. If he starts getting a fever, gets irritable, doesnt want to eat or sleep then we need to bring him in because that might be signs of RSV. Kinda freaks me out but Im not going to worry about it unless he starts exhibiting some of those signs. So for now, he just has a little cold but is doing ok!
