Growing upPosted on June 29th, 2006 @ 10:50 pm
My baby is growing up - today he went cold turkey without his bottle. We found a great sippy cup at Walmart that has a straw and he loves it. He is a pretty easy going kid and it didn’t even seem to phase him that he didn’t have a bottle.
We also went all day today without any baby food. He strictly ate table food today with some Gerber graduates diced pears. Its going to be nice not having to buy all of those jars of baby food. Now comes the great experimentation with table foods to find stuff that he likes.
Also, he is able to stand up by himself without having to hold onto anything. More and more his preferred mode of transportation is walking but he still does crawl some. He did his Mowgli crawl for me today across the kitchen floor which still cracks me up!

Walking machinePosted on June 22nd, 2006 @ 10:03 pm
Well, Drew is now the walking machine. He is still pretty wobbly but he is walking really good! Mom and dad got to see him on the webcam when he was walking back and forth between me and Peter and each time he was getting better and better. Later this evening he walked the entire length of the kitchen and he is just so proud of himself when he does it!
Oh- and tonight he decided he wanted to try and feed himself. It was quite messy and here are the pictures to prove it!

It’s good to be homePosted on June 22nd, 2006 @ 5:04 pm
We made it home safely last night and man its good to be home! Sorry I didnt post anything in the past couple of days but while in Wisconsin we had very slow dialup and I just didnt bother with it.
Drew now has 8 teeth. Tooth #6 and #7 came in while we were in Cleveland and I just noticed #8 broke through today. And last night he took 5 steps on 3 different occasions and I actually got to see them! YAY!

More stepsPosted on June 17th, 2006 @ 8:29 pm
Drew is taking more and more steps by himself. He took 3 steps today and I missed it! But Peter saw it! He also took 2 more steps tonight at the hotel room and wouldn’t you know- I missed it again!
He also figured out how to go down Auntie Jane’s stairs! He goes down backwards reaching back with one foot and finding his footing then putting the other down and so on! What a smart kid!
Here are some new pictures!

New pictures 06/04Posted on June 4th, 2006 @ 9:12 pm

Some cute pictures from today- after Drew got up from his nap he decided he wanted to crawl in his toy box! I love the last one- too bad it turned out a little blurry.
Sorry for the glare on this one but I thought the pic was too cute not to post!

A nice surprise…Posted on June 3rd, 2006 @ 11:04 pm
We went out to do some errands today and while I was in Ulta buying girl products (not THOSE kind- hair products!), Peter and Drew went down to Best Buy- a guys dream! When I was done I walked down there and was trying to find my guys and I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around and it was Ronda- one of Drew’s nurses from the NICU! This was the first time that she got to see Drew since we left the NICU over a year ago (man I can’t believe its been that long!) and he of course was his charming self!
Tonight we had a little incident with Drew- something upset his stomach and let’s just say that my carpet got the raw end of the deal with that. Poor guy- I think he lost all of his dinner. And to top it off he was sneezing like crazy too so we gave him some Benadryl and some pedialyte and he pretty much crashed before he even got to drink half of it. Hopefully it was just something he ate- he wasn’t running any fever and after the “incident” he got down and played and jabbered like nothing happened.
Last thing for tonight- a new scrapbook page is posted on my scrapbook blog! Check it out!
