So today, Drew got a bag off my desk that had trash in it and I told him it was trash. He went into the kitchen and threw it in the trash can. Smart boy! Then he went into the bathroom and got the toilet paper and apparently had put it in the toilet. Well, I was up front when this was taking place so I went back to check on him and he handed me a wad of wet toilet paper and said “twasssssss” (trash) and then put it in the trash can.

His other new words are “gwasssss” (grass) and “cwaaaa” (crab) and he is even staring to prounounce his L’s- so pease is not longer- its “pa plea” (pretty please).

Drew is fascinated with gockies (socks) and loves to put on our socks. This picture absolutely cracks me up!

I had my 2 week dr appt with my OB today- everything looks good. Cervix is holding strong and the baby’s heartbeat is nice and strong too. They tested me for gestational diabetes and anemia and everything was normal. I go back to see him in 2 weeks. We also discussed when we will schedule my c-section and he wants to do it at 38 weeks. So it will be around April 18th which is a Wednesday- but more than likely I will want it done on Thursday or Friday so that will be April 19th or 20th.

So it seems like Drew is saying new words every single day but the cutest has got to be “la lou” which is Love you. Talk about melting my heart!

We had a sonogram today with Dr. Berry even though we didnt actually get to see him. The baby is doing well! He is about 1 lb 15 oz and his HR was 154. He is measuring a few days ahead of my due date so all is looking well! And still quite definitely a boy! I did get 2 pictures but they are really blurry and not very good quality which Im quite disappointed with. We are thinking about paying for a 3D ultrasound in a few weeks to get some really good pictures.

Ok guys- it just hit me today. At this point in my pregnancy last time,
I had just given birth to 2 baby boys. I was actually 25 weeks to the
day when I had them and they were both born a few minutes before 4:00
pm but they were big enough weight wise that they called them 26 weeks.

Does that freak me out? A little. Ive gone to the bathroom several
times today expecting to see blood like I did last time but there is
nothing. So Im now officially in unchartered territory now but still
not feeling totally at ease. I guess I wont feel totally at ease until
I hit 32 weeks. That has been my goal this whole time- everything else
after 32 is just icing on the cake!

Ok- temporary freak out moment is over now…until the next one and who
knows when that will be!

This is what Drew decided to wear for his nap. No- he doesnt normally get to pick his clothes but he wanted to wear his ho-ho’s so I didnt see the harm!

Yes- it did snow here today although most of what is on the ground right now is ice. We took Drew out after his nap and got some cute pictures although we are hoping for the 2-3 inches of snow tomorrow so he can get out in that.

He got out on the grass and it started crunching under his feet and he did NOT like that!

I guess since Im at 24 weeks and all appears to be good, Im feeling a little more comfortable that things are NOT going to go wrong so I have actually purchased a few things for the baby. First, we are going to do a jungle theme and so I bought this monkey and then today when I was at Babies R Us with Elicia I saw this onesie and shoes with the giraffes on them and HAD to get them!

So I made it to 24 weeks on Wedneday- 01/10 and thats a huge milestone for me. I was supposed to see my perinatologist on Tuesday but after a huge fiasco there and not being able to see him over a bill that was $112 (yes- thats right a whole whopping $112) I called my OB and got in to see him on Wednesday. He started doing internal exams and there is no change in my cervix so everything is holding tight. I am starting every 2 week appointments with my OB until I hit 30 and then weekly appointments until I deliver.

After much discussion with the office manager at the perinatologists office- I am going to see him on Tuesday and I think I got the financial person in trouble. But Im supposed to have a sonogram on tuesday just for measurements and will love to see him again!

So, its looking like we are going to name him Ryan Michael- Im still not sold on it but neither of us can think of anything else and Ryan sounds really good with Drew. I just keep referring to the baby as “the baby” or “him” but havent started calling him Ryan.

Other than that- things are going great. My anxiety levels are beginning to rise as Im approaching 26 weeks and then Colin’s angel date is Feb 10th so I just need to get through those 2 things and maybe I can calm down SOME. Although, I really doubt I will be calm until he gets here safe and sound. I want to at least make it to 30 weeks- every other week after that is just icing on the cake!

I know- I’ve been bad about keeping the blog updated but its so hard to remember to do it with the holidays and such going on. Im glad its over and we can get back to our “normal” routine! LOL!

He got this Lego set from Bebe and Rondad for Christmas and he loves to dump the legos out and play in the dumb box. Who would have thought you could get a kid a box and they would be content with just that?
