We decided to venture out today to see if we could get any good pictures in the bluebonnets. Surprisingly, we had a hard time finding a good patch and then the sun was directly overhead so it wasnt the best picture taking day (even though its GORGEOUS outside) but here are some of the cute ones we got:

So yesterday I hit 35 weeks and quite honestly I never thought I would make it this far! As I stated in my last post about my 34 week appointment- there have been no changes in my cervix and Im not sure if its due to the cerclage or simply that this is a singleton pregnancy. Either way, Im quite pleased with the way things have gone and am now allowing myself to believe that this will be a normal delivery and we will be bringing a baby home with us from the hospital. What in the world do I do with a baby that is super fresh????? I know when we brought Drew home he was like a newborn in terms of his development but still- he was 3.5 months old by then.

Anyways, I have started packing my bags for the hospital just in case but really have no reason to think that I wont make it to April 20th. But it still is nice to know that things are ready- at least with my bags. The house is a different story and I think I might try and talk Peter into hiring someone to come clean before the baby comes.

I saw my OB today and everything still looks good- no changes. I have been having a lot of contractions but they are braxton hicks and the doctor said as long as there is no bleeding or fluid and lying down makes them go away then they are harmless. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and reality is starting to set in that in 3.5 weeks we will have a new baby to be bringing home. I guess Im starting to nest- Im getting very antsy that we dont have anything ready for him. But Im getting a cradle from my friend on friday, I have cradle sheets and need to make sure they fit before I wash them, I have his going home outfits and bought some newborn socks today. I need to wash all of Drew’s old newborn and 0-3 month clothes and get stains out and put them in our room for Ryan. I think once that is done I will feel closer to being ready. Of course, I still need to clean the house but that is not happening so Im going to try and talk Peter into letting me hire someone to do it.

So, I decided I needed to get crafty and do something for the nursery even though we wont be setting up one until we move.

Drew was outside helping Peter bring in groceries which really meant he was playing in the rain! He would lift one leg up and splash in the water and yell “SPLASH” then Peter said it would thunder and Drew would say “dunder”. Here are a couple of cute pics:

So, a lot of the girls on my birth boards have been talking about feeling the baby hiccuping and Ive never felt this and Peter and I were just talking about it yesterday after church. Well, last night, I laid down in bed and was watching CSI and put my hand on the left side of my abdomen and I felt HICCUPS! It was so cool- they lasted about 5 minutes. But sadly, Peter was in the other room on the computer and I was afraid if I yelled for him to come in they would stop so I was hoping they would last until he came to bed but they didnt.

Ive also been having dreams of going into labor or my water breaking. Im 35 weeks on wednesday and for some reason Im feeling like I wont make it to 38 but that is just based solely on my dreams. Im hoping he will stay in there until 38 weeks but who knows. I guess I need to get my hospital bags packed and the car seat in the car!

I had what should be my last sonogram for this pregnancy today. All is well- Ryan’s HR was 160 and he was moving up a storm! His head and abdomen are measuring 37 weeks and his femur is measuring 36w 6d and they estimated his weight to be 6 lbs 9 oz but that could be +/- 1 lb either way. But regardless, Im 33w 5d today and he is measuring 3 weeks ahead. YIKES!

So here is the vest that I got to go with his easter shirt. I love Carters- it was $19 on sale for 50% off and then I had a 50% off coupon! $5.40 something cents for the vest!!!!

I didnt get a chance to post these pictures last week- better late than never huh? I dont have his new bedding in these pictures but its here and on his bed and will take some pictures when I go make his bed!

This is the mural in his nursery that my friend Heather painted. Im sure going to hate having to leave this when we finally find another house and move.

So I went out today specifically to look at a diaper bag and get a baby gift for Taylor for Elicia’s shower in March25th from Church and this is what I came back with.

This is not the diaper bag I went looking for but I LOVE this print and the style of the bag. Its got tons of compartments and such!

The 2 things in front of the diaper bag are Diapees and Wipees and it carries a travel size pack of wipes and a few diapers so you dont have to take the whole bag with you if you dont need to.

Ok- here is the outfit I got for Taylor- it is soooo cute!

And the best deal of the day- these overalls from Carters- originally $17.00 but they were marked 70% (it was a store mess up) so I got them for $5.70 each! Drew and Ryan will have matching overalls!

And here is Drew’s easter shirt- I didnt get a sweater vest to go with it. I just couldnt decide which one to get.

Can we talk just a minute about American Idol??? I was seriously floored that Sunjaya is in the top 12 over Sundance!!!! Dont get me wrong- I don’t think Sundance would have made it to the finals- I just don’t think his voice is strong enough. But Sunjaya SUCKS!!!!! I really dont know how he made it past Hollywood week to begin with- unless the producers made the judges put him on there. The kids KNOWS he is not good- you can tell by the way he carries himself now. I think he should bow out gracefully to save himself further embarassment and let the judges bring back a replacement.

Antonella- same thing as Sunjaya but at least she is gone and we don’t have to be subjected to her horrible voice and her even crappier attitude. She is one of the types that *THINKS* she is way prettier than she is and that makes me dislike her for that reason alone.

There is a website out there called www.votefortheworst.com and their sole purpose to to take a person who they know doesnt deserve to be on the show and get people to vote for them to see how far they can make it. I think it really stinks since this is a singing competition but then part of me says this is what the producers of the show get for letting America vote.

My favorite by far is Melinda and Lakesha and no matter what happens those 2 will definitely get a contract. Im predicting now that Melinda will win the competition. My other favorite guy is Blake- he reminds me a little bit of Justin Timberlake and you all know how much I love JT!

Ok thats my thoughts so far. Hopefully Sunjaya will not make it past next week. Haley for that matter- her voice is ok but she is definitely more broadway than American Idol.

This picture I happen to catch him saying “Oh man” which he got from Peter! And his latest cute thing to say is “I did it!” and “ri-dit” when you ask him what a froggie says.

I saw my OB today and everything is looking good! No changes in the cervix still and no sugar in my urine! YAY! I have been having cramps all day today and he said that since there is no bleeding and no cervical changes then its just normal part of pregnant. And not only have I been cramping but Ryan has been kick boxing me from inside. It was really starting to hurt when I was driving to the doctor.

The c/s has been scheduled for April 20th at 4:00 pm. Why so late? Well, the only other time the hospital had open that day was 7:30 am and since we have to be at the hospital 2 hours early I just wasnt interested in getting up at 4 to get to the hospital by 5:30. So, 6 weeks and 3 days and Ryan will be here! 

and I passed my 3 hour test! The nurse at my OB’s office said my numbers were totally normal so something must have been going on last week to make my numbers go so high. I said it COULD have been the huge piece of cake I had at a baby shower on Sunday or the bowl of cereal with 1/4 c of sugar the morning of my appt. But that is just a guess!

On another note- Drew has been sick. He caught a cold or something from Peter who caught from his lovely co-workers but then yesterday Drew started vomiting and had diarrhea and a low grade fever. I called the pedi’s office today and they said a stomach bug has been going around. He is feeling better today but not completely over it. And he is still dealing with his cold- he was coughing so much when I put him down for his nap that it woke him up and he started crying. So I gave him Robitussin and it still hadnt kicked in after an hour. But he and I laid down and he fell asleep around 3 and slept for an hour- until I just HAD to move to get comfortable and he woke up. GRRR!

Ok- I cant believe that Im putting these up but here you go.

So I started off the day having to do my 3 hour glucose test which I was not happy about. I passed my 1 hour test about a month ago but when I went to the OB on Monday there was sugar in my urine so they tested my blood and my sugars were 195. Which is high. SO I had to go in today, get my blood drawn, drink this sugar drink, and then get my blood drawn 3 more times over the next 3 hours. All of this was after I had fasted for 12 hours so it was 15 hours before I was able to eat. I was STARVING by the time I got done.

Then this afternoon we had another 3d sono done. It looked like he wasnt going to be cooperative and so his face until literally the very last minute and he dropped his hands. The images are not really great but we got a few decent shots plus 2 short videos that hopefully Peter can help me post.
