Drew checking his emailAt night, when Peter takes Drew upstairs to read books before bed Drew has to check his email. Which consists of him going to his art easel, pressing a button to turn the “computer” on, and then he taps the easel and that is him checking the email. He told Peter that he goes to www.blahblahblah.com to check his email. That just cracks me up!

Drew’s first soccer game!Today was Drew’s very first soccer game-his team is named the Longhorns! We weren’t sure how Drew would do since he has been real timid in practice. And it held true in his first game. He got to kick the ball a couple of times but most of the game was spent in the field away from where the ball was.
Before the game:
Lining up for kickoff:
During the game:
Drew got to do a kickoff!
Longhorns won the game 7-0 although Drew didn’t score any of those goals. I don’t even think he was near the goal for most of them. But after the game both teams lined up and each kid got to score a goal and here is Drew scoring his goal.
High-fives after the game:
Refreshments were his favorite part!

Drew’s first soccer practiceDrew is signed up for soccer at the YMCA and today was his first practice. He did pretty well but he needs to learn to not use his hands and to listen to his coach! But it was too cute watching him try to kick the ball. And now this makes me a soccer mom! I guess all I need now is the mini-van and it will be official.
Stopping the ball with his feet. Which was a challenge because he wanted to pick the ball up.

He was supposed to dribble to the goal and kick the ball in. Well, he dribbled, stopped the ball with his hands and lined it up, and then kicked it.

Surprise party for EliciaDianne and Victor hosted a surprise party for Elicia’s 30th birthday. She had no clue about the party. I even called her earlier that day to ask her a general question and didn’t mention her birthday to make her think I had forgotten about it. Im so mean.
Here are some pictures of the party:

Its about time for a Ryan postHe just seems to be talking so much lately. He is not very clear but he will almost always try to say a word that we ask him to say. He loves climbing on stools and pushing chairs around the kitchen. He is also blowing kisses with his mouth and with his hand. And if he blows a kiss with his hand he says “muah”. Too cute!
Some of the new words he is saying:
dew- Drew
dadong- ding dong (he says this when he is outside and wants to push the doorbell)
baboon- balloon
dool- stool (when he climbs up on the stool he either says dool or tall)
mamow- mickey mouse
tadow- touch down (and he puts his hands over his head when he says it)
dar- star
moo- moon
loud- cloud
uh-oh
la-laow- loud
taytoo- thank you
ya-ya- outside
lock- close
gagone- gone
wa-wa- water, drink
na-na – all foods

maow- cats
fishie- self explanatory
essyou- bless you
Down- he says this when he wants up OR down
boon- spoon
soo- shoe
jussse- juice

Drew’s first day of preschoolHe started preschool again last week- he is in the 3 year old class and his teacher is Ms. Becky. He was so excited to start school this year but was really shy when we walked in. No tears on my part this year- I was more than ready for him to go back.
