Train showPosted on February 24th, 2009 @ 8:44 pm
Here are a few pictures from the train show we went to this past Saturday. Drew was *SO* excited he was skipping all the way down the hall to the entrance of the show. Of course Peter loves his train buddy! (sorry some of the pictures are blurry)

And no trip would be complete without Drew wanting to ride the escalator.

Have you ever heard of Scentsy????Posted on February 16th, 2009 @ 11:43 pm
I’m really excited to let everybody know that I’m a Independent Consultant with Scentsy. What is Scenty you ask? Scentsy wickless candles are leadless, wickless, flameless, and smokeless. The impressive fragrant Scentsy candle bar is warmed in one of our unique wamres, for hours of fragrance, by a 25 watt light bulb. Scentsy wickless candles are safer, stronger, less expensive, and longer lasting than wicked candles. Each candle bar will last up to 60-80 hours! We have 45 warmer styles and over 80 scents to chose from! Please visit my website for more information- www.scentsy.com/akazmir or let me know if you would like me to mail you a catalog.
Here is an example of 2 of our warmers and our scent bars.

I’m having my launch party this Saturday. I know many of you that read my blog are out of town and out of state but if you would like to experience our truly awesome candles, let me know and I can mail you a “party in a basket”. The “basket” which is really a totally cute zipperd tote has all of our current scent samples for you to smell for yourself. You can take my tote around to your friends and family and see if they would like to smell and if you collect $150 in sales before tax then you qualify for a show and will get hostess benefits! How easy is that????
I love Scentsy so much that I have given up my most beloved major brand wicked candles for them. I know if you give Scentsy a try you will come to love it just as much as I do. Please let me know if there is anything that I can help you with!

Isnt this patheticPosted on February 15th, 2009 @ 9:45 pm
Yesterday Ryan fell aleep while eating lunch. He has NEVER done that before. He is much too serious about his food to fall asleep while eating. So you know the child was super tired to have done this.

Ryan and I went up to the preschool on Friday for Drew’s valentine party. It was alot of fun! The kids got to decorate heart cookies, they played bingo, got to dip strawberries in a chocolate fountain, and they exchanged valentines with each other. Here are some pictures:

Remembering ColinPosted on February 10th, 2009 @ 7:05 pm
Today is the 4th anniversary of his angel day. I’ve had a pretty good day today. Of course I miss Colin so much but today Im concentrating on the good things that I have in my life rather than dwell on what could have been. I think that says a lot about how far I’ve come in the past 4 years. Of course, im still dealing with depression issues related to Colin’s death. I’ve started seeing a christian counselor who said I still have anger issues that I haven’t dealt with and Im hoping to get through that and past that to give my husband the kind of wife that he deserves and the kind of mother that my kids deserve. They are all such a blessing to me and I feel like the last 4 years are a blur to me right now. It makes me so grateful that Im a scrapbooker because I honestly cant remember some of the things that the kids did when they were younger.
~To my sweet Colin. We miss you like crazy and wish you were here with us. I know that you are looking over us from heaven. Please know that you are always on our minds and in our hearts. We talk about you to Drew so he will know who is big brother is. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven. I love you so much.
~Mommy

Drew’s 4 year well checkPosted on February 10th, 2009 @ 6:59 pm
So, he is perfectly healthy! But I had no worries about that at all. He is 29 lbs 6 oz (5th percentile) and 38 3/4 inches tall (10-15th percentile). He had is vision and hearing checked. He never did raise his hand for the hearing but he kept asking my why the beeps were so quiet. So I know he heard them he just didn’t understand the directions. His eyesight is 20/50 and they said they like for it to be 20/30 so we are being referred to an opthamologist. We knew we he got out of the hospital that he might have vision problems and its a combination of genetics and prematurity. But considering we we could be dealing with I will take him having to wear glasses any day.
He had to get 4 shots today. While we were waiting for the nurse to come back in the room he asked if we could go home and I told him not yet. I had to explain that he was getting shots and of course he started crying and said “I dont want to get shots mama. I just want to go home now.” UGH- talk about tearing out my heart. He is at the age where he realizes that he might get shots at appointments and last week when we were checking in when he had strep he told the receiptionist “tell them not to give me any shots”. Poor dude.
As we were leaving we were walking through the grass and he picked a yellow flower off a clover and brought it to me. He said “I got a flower for you mama because you are special”. That really brought tears to my eyes- he knew that I needed a little special pick me up today.

Drew is 4 years old.Posted on February 8th, 2009 @ 8:45 pm
How did he get to be 4? Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday that we were in the NICU looking at a very sick and very tiny baby. Now look at him! Its truly amazing how far he has come!
We had his birthday party yesterday afternoon at the YMCA. The kids got to play in the HUGE tree house and they had a blast! Drew loved all of the presents that he received and couldn’t wait to get home and start playing!
At the very top of the tree house. The whole thing was like 3 stories high!

I had to get up there and help Taylor so Drew and I posed for a picture

The bottom of the swirly slide

Not sure about the silly face

Hello Peter’s head! (he was helping the little ones climb up)

Sliding down the small slide.

CAKE TIME!!!!!

Cake on the nose

Ryan loved the cake and the little bottles of water

The best part- PRESENTS!!!!

Binoculars from Ryan

Handy Manny tool belt from Aunt Lisie (what Drew calls her), Uncle Blake, and Taylor

He was excited about his Geotrax!

Elmo Hot Tomato game

Opening a present from Bebe and Rondad

Opening his present from me and Peter- a Handy Manny electric saw and a Digital Arts and Craft Studio for his computer

After the party my family was all standing around the car while I was inside paying for the rest of the party. Drew said “that was the most awesome party ever!” How cute!!!!! It was a great day, Drew had a blast with his friends, and I want to thank everybody for coming and celebrating his day with him!

Ryan’s 21 month stuffPosted on February 8th, 2009 @ 8:15 pm
This seemed to be the month for talking. Here are some of the words he has been saying:
All aboard
Oh Toodles (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
na-na boo-boo
appa juice- (apple juice)
layloon- balloon
bugo- booger
teetsa- pizza
num-a-num- m&m’s or skittles
coke
more
all done
lup-lup- fruit rollups
hep me- help me
open gwage- open garage
no- when he runs up to me and says this it means he needs his nose wiped
cack-cack- his stuffed duck
errrnge- orange drink
When he gets put in time out he sits down and immediately says “all done” and will repeat this until we say something to him. But he is not allowed to get up until he stops asking.
He has also learned how to give zerberts.
And one of the cutest things that makes us laugh every time is when we get in the car and he wants us to play the “ucky yong”. Peter found a song called the Yucky song on iTunes and its this silly song where a guy makes up wierd combinations of food to put together and when he says something like “I like to put ketchup on my pancakes” the kids in the background go “ewwww” and Ryan says “ewww” really loudly when it gets to that part. The other day Ryan and I went to pick up Drew from school and as soon as I turned the car on Ryan said “ucky yong” and I told him no we werent going to listen to it. And then he screamed “Ipod, Ipod” because he knows that is what has the song on it. Its soooo cute!
