Uh oh…

we might be searching for a big boy bed for Ryan soon. The last 2 times Peter went in to get Ryan he had crawled out of his crib. Im not ready for him to be doing that. Im not ready for him to be in a big boy bed. Right now, Ryan stays put until Peter and I are ready to get up and get him. Which often means he wakes up, plays and talks for a bit and then goes back to sleep. And its often around 7:30 or 8.

But Drew has decided he wants a bunk bed so Im going to be watching craigslist for one. Then Drew’s bed can go in Ryan’s room and maybe we can just put up the baby gate and cage him in until we are ready to get up. Yeah.

McKenna Children’s Museum
Posted on July 8th, 2009 @ 10:13 pm

We went to New Braunfels yesterday to the children’s museum and the boys had a blast! They had a hospital, space, grocery store, tools, bank, trains, outdoor (camping, kayaking, etc.) and an outside area with a huge water table that the boys loved!

Of course the first thing Drew had to find was the trains!

Of course they fought over who would get to drive the ambulance.

Ryan found this baby in the nursery in the hospital and carried her around. We named her Sally.

4th of July fun
Posted on July 8th, 2009 @ 6:36 pm

As mentioned before, Blake and Elicia and the kids and my friend Anissa came over to the house for 4th of July. Peter grilled hamburgers for dinner and the kids decorated some cupcakes that Anissa brought over. Then we went to see the fireworks in Leander but we chose a sorry location (because we didnt go down to the golf course where they were being shot off) and didnt get to see too much of them. But it was enough for the boys to be satisfied that they got to see them although I didn’t get to practice photographing fireworks like I wanted.

Here are some pics of the kids having a good time:

We got these goggles for Drew last summer and he just LOVES them!

Drew is "walking" on the bottom of the pool with his hands. He yelled and me and said "Look mama, I’m swimming just like a real boy!"

And of course as soon as Drew said he was swimming like a real boy Ryan says "I swimmin". Monkey see, Monkey doo.

This one CRACKS me up!

I LOVE this picture of him.

Lookie here- its an update!
Posted on July 8th, 2009 @ 5:26 pm

Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. There hasn’t been much going on around here other than it being "stupid hot". We try to stay indoors as much as possible because I HATE the heat!

Mom and Dad were here the last weekend in June and we had a good time visiting with them. They came down for a bird auction and mom has finally gotten rid of all but 2 of her birds. I never thought I would see that day come.

We saw Blake and Elicia for 4th of July and we had a good time with them and my friend Anissa. Evan was such a sweet baby and Taylor was her usual cute self! I will post some pictures of the kids swimming in our backyard in just a bit!
