When babies are born they are supposed to know how to eat, right? It’s just second nature to them. Unfortunately for you, you had to learn to suck and eat from a bottle. This was the first time you tried to eat from a bottle and you did really well! The nurses say that most preemies only eat about
3 or 4 ml their first time but you ate 13 ml! This was just the beginning of a very long journey for you learning how to eat but you ate like a champ!

This was the first time Drew got a “real” bath- all of his other baths were sponge baths prior to this. He got weighed and bathed every 3 days and Peter and I got to help out with this!
I know this is a beach kit but thougth the colors would be great for a bath time pic! Drew is really going to hate me for doing this LO when he gets older- but his future wife will LOVE me!

Ok- so how AWESOME is this kit! Its a new one by Stacey Jewell and will be in the DSP store soon! I’m so glad she gave me a sneak peek because I’ve been searching for a kit to do this picture justice and nothing seemed to be powerful enough! I’m not sure where the quote came from- Sandi from DSP sent it to me! Oh- and I made the word art (takes a bow) and I know its no where near as good as Ms. Tina Chambers but I’m pretty proud of myself!
This is a picture of Drew when he was just over a month old. I just loved this picture because it shows how small he was holding my finger.

Drew loves looking out our cat door and often times he will put his toys out the door and we find a huge pile on the back porch. The other night Peter was grilling and Drew looked out the cat door and yelled “Da-da!” and then started laughing. It was hilarious!

This LO was a dare from Stacey at DSP- the dare was to scrap a Book of Me page about my favorite movies using Kim’s Premier Kit with elements from at least 1 other kit and pictures of myself for each year the movie was released.
Here are my movies:
1989- Little Mermaid
Freshman in highschool
I watched this movie so many times I wore out the VHS tape
1999- Star Wars Episode I- The Phantom Menace
I saw this in the theater 3 times
2001- Legally Blonde
Love the Bend and Snap!
2003- Legally Blonde 2
Favorite quote- “You look like the 4th of July. Makes me want a hot dog real bad!”
2005- Hitch
I love Will Smith and think he is so cute. And this movie was hilarious!
Each picture included is a picture of me from that particular year of the movie!

One more picture down, about 100 more to go for his NICU album!
This was the first time my mom got to hold Drew. At this time, the drs said only Peter and I would be able to hold him and we had to take turns as we could only hold him for 30 minutes a day. Well, we were up there on a Sunday night and one of our favorite nurses, Ronda, was his nurse and Peter asked her if he could give his turn to my mom so she could hold him. My mom had no idea when they came up to see him and she was *SO* excited when we told her that she could hold him. Then as soon as he was put in her arms she started crying. My mom had been up at the hospital every single day since the boys were born and it was tough on her after losing one of her grandbabies and then not to be able to hold the other one for so long. This was truly a special thing for her.
Journaling reads:
This was the first time that Granbenni got to hold you! Daddy gave up his holding time in order for her to hold you. Granbenni cried as soon as you were placed in her arms.

This was a HUGE day for Drew- he was finally off of all breathing tubes and was breathing entirely on his own! We were so excited and had no idea the drs had done this prior to us going up to the NICU that evening!
Journaling reads:
When we got up to the NICU, we had no idea
that the doctors had taken you off the canula!
Tara was holding you and she said “Do you
notice anything different?” and I couldn’t figure
out what she was talking about. I can’t believe
that I didn’t notice rightaway that you were
breathing on your own! This was a HUGE
step for you and we were so excited!
